Titus Owoeye, Global Process Lead, Nigeria

  • My name is Titus Oladipo Owoeye. I am currently the Global Process Lead covering Supply Chain Finance in our Global Business Transformation Project, SAP.

Through my career journey, I have worked in practically all PZCN major factories, in Ilupeju (old PCC), Ikorodu (Detergents and Toiletries factories) and Aba (Soap factory). One of my major successes as a Factory Accountant was setting up accounting and KPI benchmarks. Most importantly was improving financial awareness and consciousness within production management teams through team engagement and partnering and fostering strong relationship between manufacturing and finance.

From my role as a Factory Accountant, I was moved up to the role of Financial Analyst working closely with Commercial team with particular interest in brand and category profitability, controlling above market and in market spends. Again, I was able to create stronger finance partnership, challenged status quo for improvement and deliver better product margin.

I was seconded to our head office in United Kingdom where I held the role of Supply Chain Analyst, partnering with planning, procurement and manufacturing before becoming the Head of Supply Chain Finance in PZCN, a new department in Finance providing financial leadership for Supply Chain.

In this new role, I was pivotal in developing finance strategy for PZCN both in commercial and end to end supply chain business, with focus on improving brand and category margins. I have been very instrumental in driving various margin improvement projects and activities that helped maximise profits and deliver 95% business targets. A year on year delivery of N3billion, ($18m) margin improvement activities through my finance drive and co-ordination. I was equally taking the lead in implementing business planning process while considerably improving control environments on assets and resources. I was able to set up a great team of young, ambitious and functional Supply Chain Finance team through the help and support of various strong leaders and management leads I worked with in PZCN.

I am a proud PZ Cussons CANDOer!
